    On a sunny day, a sun oven is a great method of cooking. But on a cloudy day, you need other cooking options. That is when the Rocket Stoven is so valuable. It works whether it is sunny or cloudy, windy or calm. It is much cleaner than cooking over a campfire. Plus it is safer and uses less wood.

    There are many types and styles of rocket stoves. Some homemade versions are made of a #10 can or cinder blocks. There are commercial versions that cost $225 or more. When designing the Rocket Stoven we wanted to provide additional functionality, value and durability.

    This was accomplished by adding the capability of attaching an oven to the top of the stove. With the oven on top of the stove, heat from the Rocket Stoven circulates completely around the oven chamber, providing an even heat for baking. Smoke does not come in contact with the food.

    This setup allows you to cook on the stovetop, bake in the oven, or do both at the same time. By putting a pan on top of the oven flue you have two cooking areas. This greatly expands one’s cooking options. No other rocket stove offers this versatility.

    Deluxe Camping has partnered with Cylinder Stoves, the inventor of the original cylinder stove, to provide this unique stove/oven combo. Cylinder Stoves is the maker of the chimney oven that is sold with many of their tent camp stoves. By adding a custom clamp , the Cylinder Stoves chimney oven fits securely on top of the Rocket Stoven.

    Oven temperatures, up to 500°, can be regulated by controlling the amount of fuel in the Rocket Stoven. The oven includes a thermometer that measures the temperature inside the oven. The door latch, with a wire-ring handle is easy to use, even when hot.

    The chimney oven comes with one 9”x11” cookie sheet and one 9”x11” baking pan. The pans fit on 2 different shelves for high or low cooking options.
